13 Days!

I can't believe it, but we only have 13 days to go until we send Joel off for two years! It's so exciting and sad at the same time. It's been so much fun to watch him learn and grow so much the past couple of years. It also fills my heart with joy to know of his love for the Savior and the gospel and his excitement in spending the next two years of his life sharing it. It's a little sad on the other hand to think about not hearing him strumming his guitar, not spending holidays and family events with him, knowing that he and Vince most likely will not be together for four years, the withdrawal that Emma will go through without him, etc. However, I can't think of anything else I would rather have him doing with his time, money and energy! I'm so grateful that the Lord entrusted him to Rich and I. I hope that we have loved him and taught him in a way pleasing to the Lord! I'm so proud of him and can't wait to read about all of the great adventures he is about to encounter!

ZUMBA!

My Zumba buddies, Denise and Kelly and Fabio!

This past January, I was introduced to the hottest craze in fitness at this time....ZUMBA! My friend Trish had recently gotten her certification as an instructor and just kept talking about it! One night, she came into church to pick up her son from scouts and had just finished a class! She was covered in sweat, full of energy and her calorie tracker read that she had burned 1,000 calories! So, I didn't just try it, I pulled several of my co-workers into it and we hired Trish to come to work 3 days a week and teach us! Eventhough it was hard for me at first and I had to overcome some shyness about shaking my hips and shoulders, I was instantly hooked! The music is fun, the dancing is fun, the friends are fun and the workout is amazing!

Today, I attended my first 2 hour Zumba Master Class with an amazing instructor Fabio Barros. I had done a couple of 2 hour classes already, so I knew I could do it, but I knew it would be hard! I have to say, that it was just a ton of fun! I did sweat alot and I'm a little sore right now, but it really didn't even seem like a workout! Just alot of fun! One of these days, I'll get the belly dance numbers down! :)
