Fun with Foamy Paint!!

After preschool today, Emma kept insisting that we make play-dough. I have this awesome book (The Ultimate Book of Kid's Concoctions), that has very fun recipes. I talked her into looking at it and choosing a "special" dough to make. We finally settled on Jewel & Gem Goop, and it was a flop (sometimes that happens). I didn't seem to have everything needed to make all of the other cool doughs, so we settled on making Foamy Paint! It was easy and she loved it. Of course, it ended up all over her face since she knew it was shaving cream! Here is how ya do it:
You'll need: 1 can white shaving cream
Food Coloring
Plastic ice cube tray or muffin tin
Place a small dab of shaving cream into several ice cube tray or muffin tin sections. Add 1-2 drops of food coloring to each section and mix with a small spoon. (Actually, a knife would work better since the cream stuck into the spoon). It can be used to finger paint, make 3-D foam sculptures, or to paint on your arms or legs. You can use it on paper or on tile floors or a table top. It is also a good lesson in mixing colors! I'm so thankful to have a second time around at all of this fun stuff. I'm so thankful for Emma!
